Cogswell Surveys is a firm that strives to provide an excellent service and results for its clients - large and small. They have the awards to prove it too.
Your New Job
As the Consents Planner you will work closely with the Director and Business Support Team to deliver an excellent service to clients. Day to day work will mostly include:
Preparing and submitting consents to Council for land use and development projects
Client communications and updates on consent progress
Working with other staff, Consultants, Engineers, Developers and Contractors to ensure consents meet the needs of the clients and are executed as agreed with Council
There is a lot of team work and collaboration that goes on behind the scenes. Your new job here provides an amazing opportunity for career progression and professional development, as the business plans for the next 10 years.
You will be a well-organised and competent Graduate to Mid-level Planner considering your next career move. You may have outgrown the Graduate role you have had since Uni or don't see any opportunity in your existing role to progress to a Senior level.
There can be a lot on the go. Your energy and, systematic and methodical approach will ensure you are making the best use of time. The team are not looking for a yes, smile and nod, then process person. You must be able to think laterally and challenge the status quo on behalf of your Clients.
A NZPI recognised environment planning qualification and NZ resource management act experience is a given.
The team at Cogswell Surveys know land development - they have been shaping Cambridge for over 50 years.
When you join Cogswell Surveys, you are joining a team that is committed to adding value to its community, whether it be through great land use solutions or sponsoring the recent Waipa Fun Run.
